Power outage!

Big storm last night. I slept through it, but many huge trees fell down in my neighborhood and there is no electricity at my house. It's getting hot. Mom says we should just leave town and go to Italy!

Hot in the city!

It's been a hot week here in DC, so Mom and I had to find
some indoor activities to keep cool.

First, the Building Museum, where I got to do some legos with my buddies
Aidan and Kai

We had a very quick picnic outside...but man was it hot!

Popsicles on the porch help a bit.

Grandma Tiny is visiting and took me to Baltimore.
I liked the fish at the aquarium, but I really liked looking
at the boats in the harbor.

Here Grandma Tiny and I are working on our crazy faces!

We worked on some difficult words together:

Mom and Grandma Tiny had a "date" at the theater.
I got an entire night with my Dad to myself!

More fun times with Grandma Tiny at the Air & Space Museum.

I tried to fly the Enola Gay!  Yikes!

Summer has begun!

School's out for summer!
Mom and I are keeping busy.

I love playing at the pool!

My friend Andrew hung out for a couple days and we found lots of ways to get into trouble.

Splashparks are fun:

Mom and I went for a hike at Great Falls.

It was raining, but that didn't stop us from seeing the river and the big rocks.

Truck Touch

I went to RFK stadium on Saturday with Mom and Dad to see lots and lots of trucks!

Future Suzuki student?

I got to try out the violin at last week's Folk Music festival at Glen Echo.

Maybe I will be a violinist like Mom and Uncle Sam...

Moon Bounce

Several weeks ago I tried the moon bounce for the first time.
I did not like it.  In fact, I demanded to get out and insisted that
all of my friends also get out!
For weeks, I've been talking about the moon bounce.
It had a profound affect on me.

But today, I conquered my fear of the moon bounce.
I went to a little festival near my house.

First, my face was painted like a dog.

And then, I attempted the moon bounce..

success!

Keeping busy

Going for a boat ride on the Potomac

Hanging with dad and the animals at the zoo.

TROUBLE!  Andrew and I always find a way to scare Mom.

Hanging with my buddy Logan at the Brown House picnic.
P.S. I LOVE playing with the parachute.

Baptism!

Last month I got baptized at my new church, St. Dunstan's.
It was quite a whirlwind weekend with many visitors.
My family from both Chicago and Savannah came for
a really nice visit.  And we had so much fun!

"Doh-doh" and Nana partied with me at our house for a BBQ!

I watched the Kentucky Derby with Grandma Tiny & Grampa Jim

I was super chill when Father Jeff poured some water on my head at church!

And we had a nice party afterwards with our friends and family.

This is my Godmother, Aunt Allison (my Dad's cousin).

And this is me with my Godfather, Uncle Sam (Mom's brother).

It was a fantastic weekend!

May updates

It's been a busy month for Mom as she ended her school year.
Sorry for the delay in pics.
Here's how I'm looking these days ...

I am very serious when I get hair cuts.

I like to hang at the pool with Andrew and his mom.

May the Force be with you!

I love playing in my sandbox.
Mom keeps making castles and giving them weird names
like Winterfell and King's Landing.  She's strange.

Mom and Dad took me to see the airplanes land at the airport.

Dad took me to the zoo last weekend.

And I've tried to steal the car.
